*PL&P* regrets to report that Graeme Nicol, the longtime lighting designer for Sarah McLachlan, passed away on Feb. 14, 2014 at the age of 52. In addition to his work with McLachlan, Nicol also lit shows for Diana Krall and Jann Arden. He had also spent time with Christie Lites’ Vancouver office and IATSE Local 891 in the Vancouver Area. He was originally from Edmonton, AB.

Family and friends have planned a memorial service for Nicol on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 4-10 p.m. at the Anza Club (3 West 8th Ave., Vancouver, BC). We at PL&P offer condolences to Graeme’s family, friends, and peers in the industry during this difficult time.
