The following appointments are effective immediately:
Michael Clarke is now president and CEO, which will see him now lead the entire management team. Clarke led the financial direction of the company over the last seven years in his role as vice president of finance and administration. He was the right hand to Rohan Persaud and brought over 30 years of financial, operational, and administrative expertise to the management team. His thorough knowledge of the company, business acumen, and understanding of this industry allows him to lead Sounds Distribution through the next phase of the company’s growth and success, the company says.Lynda Persaud is now vice president of administration and human resources. Lynda was an active sounding board during the previous fifteen years her husband led Sounds Distribution, and is determined to continue his legacy to see Sounds Distribution to the next level of its development, says the company. Lynda has been central to the decision-making relating to the company’s future and is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all. Now bringing to the company her professional experience and expertise on a full-time basis, she has taken on a key role in managing the human capital of the company. Frank Teoli is now vice president of operations, sales, and marketing. Teoli joined the company over two decades ago and, in his role as regional account manager for Eastern Canada, he has been instrumental in the promotion and recognition of all Sounds Distribution’s product lines, particularly the Microh brand, in the production, rental, retail, and DJ markets. He is a respected figure in the industry with over 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing as well as over 30 years’ experience as a musician and performer. In his new role, Teoli will be responsible for the leadership of the sales team, fostering existing business relationships and developing new business opportunities.
