Educational Schedule Released for Expo-Scène 2018

CITT/ICTS is preparing to welcome the Canadian entertainment industry to Montreal for the fourth annual Expo-Scène trade show and conference, which is returning to the Palais des congrès de Montréal from March 28-29, 2018. Expo-Scène is currently the only major Canadian event dedicated to professionals in the pro audio, sound, lighting, audiovisual, video, and multimedia technology markets.

Organizers say this year’s sold out show has expanded in size with a bigger hall and more exhibit space, which will host more than 70 exhibitors showcasing hundreds of products and new technologies. They are expecting around 1,500 attendees from around North America.

Educational seminars in French and English are scheduled on both days of the show. Among the educational sessions uis one from A.C. Lighting on the myriad of technical and safety strategies regarding trussing, another from LS Media on Ethernet network and IP protocols, AMX Canada presenting on networked AV design, and XYZ Technologie Culturelle presenting on control systems and interfaces.

Within the educational program and show floor there is a greater emphasis this year on health, with free hearing test being offered by Workplace Medical Corp. As well, the Mental Health Commission of Canada will have a booth and present a seminar on workplace mental health. A representative from Cardiac Science Québec will also teach attendees about how rapid response with a defibrillator is the main factor in reanimation interventions.

Visitor registration, as well as a list of exhibitors, is available at
