LightFair International (LFI), the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, will return to Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center in 2019 for its 30th annual staging from May 19-23, according to Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., chairman, CEO and president of LFI managing partner AmericasMart Atlanta.

Produced annually, LFI was last held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in 2017. LFI’s 2019 return to Philadelphia will follow its 2018 showing in Chicago at McCormick Place from May 6-10.

LFI 2017 set all-new records at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from May 7-11 with the largest trade show floor and largest Philadelphia registration. The trade show encompassed

277,600 net square feet housing 592 exhibitors, including 59 first-time exhibiting companies and 127 manufacturers headquartered outside the U.S. LFI 2017’s registration of 27,939 topped the

2016 total and posted a 7.4 per cent increase over the 2013 Philadelphia registration total. Registered attendees represented 81 countries.

“Philadelphia’s continuing emergence as a center of design, architecture and innovation sets the perfect stage for LIGHTFAIR’s 2019 presentation of all that is new and next in lighting and technology products, ideas and thought leadership,” notes Portman. “We fully expect the LFI business and brand to flourish in a setting so well aligned with the needs and aspirations of our global customer base,” Portman adds.

LFI brings the industry’s newest and most advanced products and technologies to a global attendee population of lighting designers, specifiers, architects, consultants and engineers from around the world.

Throughout the trade show floor, exhibitors showcase exclusive introductions and a large spectrum of solutions such as LEDs, OLEDs, luminaires, energy-efficient products, IoT (Internet of Things), intelligent lighting, alternative energy, solar power, decorative, controls, software, digital signage, healthcare and hospitality. LIGHTFAIR also features six pavilions: Design; Exterior & Roadway Lighting; Global Light + Design; Intelligent Lighting; IoT; and New Exhibitor Pavilion.

The five-day Conference program features more than 70 courses presenting the latest information and leading-edge concepts to attendees representing a broad spectrum of industries. Under a curriculum developed by lighting, technology and design experts seated on a select Advisory Committee, the LFI Conference offers enlightening topics, dynamic speakers and industry intelligence as a featured component of the LIGHTFAIR event.

For LFI 2018, the Pre-Conference program will take place from Sunday, May 6th to Monday, May 7th and the LFI Trade Show and Conference will run from May 8-10.
