NAB Show to Welcome Broadcast World to Vegas

The NAB Show will again take over the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 7-12, 2018.

Encompassing what organizers call The M.E.T. Effect, the convergence of media, entertainment and technology, over 103,000 attendees are expected from 160 countries and 1,800-plus exhibitors.

The NAB Show will debut two new events highlighting broadcast industry achievement. The NAB Achievement in Broadcasting Dinner will be held Monday, April 9th at the Encore Las Vegas. A separate NAB: We Are Broadcasters Celebration will be held Tuesday, April 10th at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The events will shine a light on the broadcast industry, recognizing individuals and companies for their contributions in advancing the industry through technology, public service, and superior content. The new events replace the NAB Show Television Luncheon, NAB Show Radio Luncheon, and NAB Show Technology Luncheon, all of which were ticketed events at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort. Additionally, the NAB Show Opening event, featuring the presentation of the NAB Distinguished Service Award, will relocate from the Westgate to the NAB Show Mainstage in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Returning features include the Futures Park, which will have demonstrations of high-tech media developments in progress, prototypes, and products not yet available for sale, from academic, government, and commercial research laboratories in the United States and around the world. The Post-Production Campus will offer an immersive learning and networking area that covers everything from shoot to post and features 30-minute sessions presented by certified instructors, creative sessions by notable editors, and more.

On the show floor, the Immersive Storytelling Pavilion will display of the most advanced companies paving the way for creation and commercialization of immersive content – whether virtual, mixed or augmented.
